Everything you need to know before booking a workshop or class at Pretty Neat Gallery & Studio.
Here you’ll find answers to common questions, plus important booking terms and policies. Please take a moment to read before booking your session.
What’s your cancellation policy?
You can cancel your booking up until 7 days before the event via the website booking system for a full refund. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer refunds after that point.
What if I’m running late?
We ask all participants to arrive on time so workshops and classes can start smoothly. If no one has arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the class may be cancelled — especially if we haven’t had any contact.
If you arrive after the session has started, we may not be able to let you join. Many workshops involve step-by-step instruction or time-sensitive processes, and joining late can disrupt the experience for others.
If you are more than 20 minutes late with no prior notice, you will not be able to join the session. If you are the only expected participant, the class may be cancelled.
As spaces are limited and materials are prepared in advance, we’re unable to offer refunds or reschedules for late arrivals or missed classes.
If you are running late, please call us on 01273 927744 as soon as possible — we’ll do our best to help if we can.
Are your workshops suitable for beginners?
Yes — most of our workshops are designed for beginners or those looking to try something new. Each class description will mention if any prior experience is needed.
What types of workshops do you offer?
We run a wide variety of creative workshops for adults, teens, and families — from beginner-friendly tasters and mindful art sessions to textiles, painting, printmaking, and more. Some classes are one-offs, while others are part of a creative pathway — a series of sessions designed to help you build confidence and skills in a particular area over time.
We also run a Wellness Art Club, which offers regular, relaxed creative sessions that focus on self-expression, calm, and community. It’s ideal if you’re looking for a regular dose of mindful art in a welcoming space — no pressure, no perfection, just creativity for wellbeing.
What age groups are your workshops for?
Adult classes are for ages 16 and over
Teen sessions are typically for ages 11–16
Family sessions are designed for children aged 7+ with an accompanying adult
Please check the listing for age guidance before booking.
Are materials included?
Yes — all materials and tools are provided unless the class description says otherwise.
What should I bring?
Usually nothing! If you need to bring anything specific (e.g. a reference image), we’ll let you know in the class details.
Can I take my work home with me?
Absolutely — everything you create during your class is yours to take home and enjoy.
Can I book for more than one person?
Yes — just select the number of spaces you’d like to book when checking out.
Can I book a private class or party?
Yes! We offer creative sessions for birthdays, hen parties, and other special events. Just get in touch to discuss your ideas.
Do you offer classes for corporate teams or wellbeing events?
We do — creative workshops can be a great way to boost team connection and reduce stress. We’re happy to tailor something for your group.
Are refreshments provided?
Yes — we provide snacks and non-alcoholic drinks for all classes. You’ll find a range of hot drinks, cordials, and oat milk available.
Can I bring my own food or drink?
You’re welcome to bring a water bottle or a snack if you have dietary needs. For longer sessions, you can also bring a light lunch — we’ll let you know if a break is included. Please avoid nuts as a courtesy to others.
Is the gallery and studio accessible?
Yes — Pretty Neat Gallery & Studio is on one level with step-free access. If you have any accessibility needs or questions, we’re happy to help — just contact us before your visit.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes — Brighton Marina has a large multi-storey car park with free parking all day and evening, just a short walk from the gallery.
