Print Your Pet: Linocut Workshop in Brighton

Turn your favourite furry, feathered or scaly friend into a striking handmade print.

In this fun and rewarding workshop, you’ll learn how to transform a photograph of your pet into a simple linocut design before carving and printing your own artwork. Guided step by step by your instructor, you’ll discover how to simplify shapes, create contrast and carve confidently to capture your pet’s personality in print.

Linocut is one of the most popular forms of printmaking, and this workshop offers a great introduction to the process while creating something meaningful and personal.

Participants should bring a clear photograph of their pet.

You’ll learn how to:

• Adapt a pet photograph into a printable design
• Transfer your image onto lino
• Safely use lino-cutting tools
• Create texture, detail and contrast through carving
• Ink and print your finished design

This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with some printmaking experience.

All workshops are beginner-friendly unless stated otherwise, and we provide all the materials you need. Adult sessions are for ages 16+, teen classes for ages 11–16, and family workshops for ages 7+ with an accompanying adult. Everything you create is yours to take home.
