Gelliprinting & Cards Workshop in Brighton

Discover the colourful and often surprising world of gelli printing in this relaxed Creative Play session.

Using soft printing plates, paints, textures, and found materials, you’ll create a series of unique prints full of colour, pattern, and texture. No drawing skills are needed, and part of the fun is experimenting to see what appears when each print is lifted from the plate.

We’ll begin by exploring a variety of simple gelli printing techniques and creating a selection of practice prints to experiment with colour, layering, texture, and pattern. You’ll have the chance to try different tools and materials to discover effects you enjoy and build confidence with the process.

Once you’ve created a collection of prints, you’ll select your favourites and transform them into four finished greeting cards ready to use or give as gifts. Any additional practice prints can be taken home for future creative projects.

This session is perfect for beginners and anyone looking for a creative escape. You’ll leave with four handmade cards, a selection of practice prints, and plenty of inspiration to continue exploring gelli printing at home.

All workshops are beginner-friendly unless stated otherwise, and we provide all the materials you need. Adult sessions are for ages 16+, teen classes for ages 11–16, and family workshops for ages 7+ with an accompanying adult. Everything you create is yours to take home.
