Decorate Your Own Russian Wooden Dolls

Create your very own set of colourful Russian nesting dolls in this fun, relaxed creative workshop.

You’ll start with a set of blank wooden nesting dolls, ready to be completely transformed with your own designs. We’ll help you plan how you’d like your dolls to look before you get started with paints, pens and decorative details.

You might choose to create a traditional-inspired set, a family of quirky characters, animals, flowers, bold patterns or something completely different. Each doll can have its own personality, or you can develop a theme that runs through the whole set.

There’s no need to be brilliant at drawing or painting. We’ll have plenty of ideas and inspiration available, and you can keep your designs as simple or as detailed as you like. The emphasis is on experimenting, enjoying the process and creating something that feels completely your own.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a unique set of hand-decorated wooden nesting dolls to take home – perfect for displaying, gifting or simply making you smile whenever you open them up.

All materials are included, including your set of wooden nesting dolls, paints, pens and everything you need to decorate them.

No previous experience is needed.

If you have food preferences or accessibility needs, please tell us in advance so we can make your visit as smooth as possible.

All workshops are beginner-friendly unless stated otherwise, and we provide all the materials you need. Adult sessions are for ages 16+, teen classes for ages 11–16, and family workshops for ages 7+ with an accompanying adult. Everything you create is yours to take home.
