Create a Mini Winter World – Kids’ Christmas Workshop

Create a magical miniature winter world in a jar in this fun and imaginative Christmas workshop for children (8+) at Pretty Neat Gallery & Studio in Brighton Marina.

In this hands-on workshop, children will design and build their own miniature winter scene inside a jar. They can decide what their little world looks like and choose the characters, colours and decorations they want to include.

First, we’ll plan the scene and think about what might live in our winter world. Then, it’s time to start building!

Add Snow, Characters and Festive Details

Children can create a snowy landscape before adding miniature trees, characters and other wintry details. They might make a traditional Christmas scene, a magical woodland or even an imaginary snowy world filled with unusual creatures.

We’ll have a selection of craft materials available, so there will be plenty of opportunities to experiment and add individual touches.

A Christmas Decoration to Take Home

Once all the pieces are in place, children can add the finishing touches to bring their miniature scene to life.

Their completed winter world can be taken home and displayed as part of the family Christmas decorations. Even better, because everyone chooses their own design, no two winter worlds will be the same.

Who Is This Workshop For?

This workshop is designed for children aged 8+. No previous crafting experience is needed, and we’ll guide everyone through the project step by step.

All materials and festive refreshments are included.

If you have food preferences or accessibility needs, please tell us in advance so we can make your visit as smooth as possible.

All workshops are beginner-friendly unless stated otherwise, and we provide all the materials you need. Adult sessions are for ages 16+, teen classes for ages 11–16, and family workshops for ages 7+ with an accompanying adult. Everything you create is yours to take home.
