Christmas Bookcrafting: Decorations from Old Books
Give old books a festive new life in this creative Christmas bookcrafting workshop at Pretty Neat Gallery & Studio in Brighton Marina.
Turn Book Pages into Christmas Decorations
Bookcrafting is a lovely way to transform pages from old or unwanted books into something completely new. During this workshop, you’ll explore a range of simple paper-folding and crafting techniques to create beautiful Christmas decorations.
We’ll provide plenty of inspiration and guide you through each project step by step. Therefore, you don’t need any previous paper-crafting experience to take part.
Create Festive Paper Designs
Using book pages as your main material, you’ll cut, fold, shape and assemble your chosen decorations. You might create paper stars, Christmas trees, angels, baubles or other festive ornaments.
Old book pages bring their own character to every project. Different typefaces, illustrations and aged papers mean that no two decorations will look exactly alike.
You can keep your finished pieces simple and rustic or add plenty of festive detail. Once complete, they can decorate your Christmas tree, mantelpiece or home. Alternatively, your handmade creations could make lovely little gifts.
No previous experience is needed, and all materials and tools are provided. Festive refreshments are also included.
