Slow down, get creative, and enjoy the art of candle making in this relaxed, hands-on Christmas Candle Making Workshop at Pretty Neat Gallery & Studio.

Perfect for beginners, you’ll be guided step by step through the process of creating your own beautifully scented candles using high-quality wax, fragrance oils and simple professional techniques. First, you’ll learn how to prepare your containers and wax. Then, you’ll explore fragrance combinations before pouring your own candles.

Choose from a selection of festive-inspired scents to create candles that capture the feeling of Christmas. Whether you prefer something warm and spicy, fresh and wintry, sweet and comforting, or a little more sophisticated, you can create a fragrance combination that suits you.

No previous experience is needed. Instead, this workshop is all about slowing down, enjoying some creative time and making something by hand during the run-up to Christmas.

Finally, you’ll take home your handmade Christmas candles, together with the knowledge, recipes and confidence to continue making candles at home. Keep them to make your own home feel cosy over Christmas or give them as thoughtful handmade gifts.

All workshops are beginner-friendly unless stated otherwise, and we provide all the materials you need. Adult sessions are for ages 16+, teen classes for ages 11–16, and family workshops for ages 7+ with an accompanying adult. Everything you create is yours to take home.
